On Writing
It's a fickle business, putting pen to paper and crafting something you hope someone else will enjoy reading - eventually. Sometimes, the words flow like a waterfall cascading down an embankment: fast, furious, crashing onto the page so fast you can hardly keep up. And sometimes, the words bumble and stumble and you feel like you haven't a clue what you're doing or whether you'll succeed.
It's not for the feint of heart and for those of us who work a full time job to pay the bills, it can tear a soul in two. Both of my jobs require creativity. Both have an audience. And both can make or break me without even trying.
The only thing I can do is to soldier on, put one foot in front of the other, one word after the next because not following through is not an option.
So here we go again. Let's make 2021 a year to remember!
